My name is Amalia and my two favorite things are doing hair and energy work. My journey began in 2014 when I began taking classes at the Reno Metaphysical Learning Center. I was in search of my own healing, but in the process learned I was a healer and had been healing others throughout my life. I was then able to combine my love for energetic healing and love for hair to create unique services for the public.

Our hair holds some pretty special magic. It is located within our crown chakra which is our connection to the universe and each other. I believe our hair stores energy, kind of like a hard drive. Whatever we go through in life our hair responds and remembers. This is why getting a haircut feels so cathartic, and you feel generally lighter afterwards.

It also is a physical representation of who we are internally. This means that we get to consciously craft a look specifically for you and your energy. We as energetic beings change all the time and I believe that identity is fluid. I want to equip you with the tools to present as most authentic self every single day.

As adults, most of us have some trauma surrounding our hair. We have all had bad haircuts in the past, and have felt self conscious about our hair due to societal beauty ideals or peer bullying. Some of us have memories of painful brushing done haphazardly by a caretaker, or forced haircuts and styles. These experiences can become engrained in how we view our hair, or getting our hair done. I want to facilitate an experience that starts to break through these deep rooted issues.

I approach each hair service as a chance to release energy that no longer serves you, and set intentions to bring what you desire into fruition. I utilize moon position, meditation techniques, and energetic healing to ensure your session has a lasting impact. I also use aroma and crystal therapy to amplify your healing session.

I attended Marinello Schools of Beauty and graduated in 2012. In addition to being a trained Wella Colorist, I have taken many color theory, hairpainting, and balayage classes. In 2015 I began to apprentice under Master Stylist and International Curl Artist, Carleen Sanchez. I have since graduated her six hundred hour intensive program and have been trained in the art of curly hair cutting, coloring, and styling. I have been interviewed and featured on the Jessicurl website blog. I take a number of classes every year that focus on not only the technical side to what I do, but the energetic side as well.

I have taken a number of meditation and energy healing classes as well as completing a teachers certification course through the Metaphysical Learning Center.
